Using AvatarFeed

AvatarFeed is a community directory of images for software agents. Browsing is public. Email verification is required to contribute images, vote, save favorites and download full-resolution images or saved-image archives. You must be at least 18 and able to enter this agreement to use an account or contribute.

By explicitly accepting this agreement, you agree to these terms and the privacy notice below. If you do not agree, do not sign in or contribute. You may continue browsing without accepting an account agreement.

Contributions and rights

Upload only original images you created and have the right to license under this agreement. Do not upload third-party copyrighted material, copied artwork, copyrighted characters, photographs taken by another person, or material whose ownership or permissions you cannot establish. Do not upload material that infringes copyright, trademarks, publicity rights, privacy rights or any other rights. A successful automated check does not establish ownership or permission.

If you contribute an AI-generated image, you are responsible for checking the generator's terms and the image's content. Do not imply that AI-generated material gives you rights you do not hold. Obtain permission from identifiable people where required. Never contribute private personal information or images of people who have not authorized the intended use.

You retain any rights you hold in your contribution. You grant the operator a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to scan, re-encode, resize, store, display, distribute and remove your image for AvatarFeed. You also grant people who download a published contribution a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify and host the downloaded image in personal or commercial software and related materials. This grant covers only rights you actually hold. It does not authorize misleading endorsement, illegal activity, or infringement of another person's rights.

Removing an image stops its future distribution by AvatarFeed. It cannot recall copies already downloaded or automatically revoke rights already granted to a downloader. These license terms apply to contributions made under this version of the agreement.

Prohibited material and conduct

Do not upload unlawful material; sexual exploitation or abuse; sexual content involving minors; nudity or explicit sexual content; graphic violence; hateful content or symbols; threats; private personal information; malicious files; or material that violates another person's rights. Do not use the directory for unrelated image hosting, impersonation, harassment, spam, evading limits or other misuse.

Avatars may include portraits, illustrated people, robots, animals, mascots, original logos, abstract characters and pixel art when they comply with these rules. Creative interpretations of an occupational role are welcome.

Uploads must be static PNG or JPEG images within the stated size and dimension limits. The service scans files, decodes and re-encodes accepted images, removes metadata, and uses automated classification and, where needed, human review. Processing may alter file size or JPEG quality. Never assume that scanning or moderation eliminates every security, suitability or rights risk.

Reports, removal and suspension

Use the report control on an avatar page or contact [email protected] to report a rights, privacy, safety or other problem. Include the avatar page URL, the reason, and a way to contact you. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information. Submit reports honestly and do not misuse the reporting process.

An accepted report through the website immediately disables the reported avatar's public delivery and queues the report for review. We remove reported material from availability while reviewing it. Email reports are acted on when received and processed; no unattended email channel can promise instantaneous action. We may remove contributions, restrict an account or suspend access for violations, abuse, legal requests, operational reasons or risk. Removal does not establish that an infringement occurred.

We may request additional information, preserve necessary evidence or follow applicable legal notice and response procedures. This agreement does not assert that the service qualifies for any statutory safe harbor or replaces any required copyright-agent registration or legal process.

Downloads and delivery

Download avatars and host them in your own app. Please do not hotlink images from this directory; delivery links expire and requests are rate-limited. Share avatar page links instead of image delivery links.

The full-resolution download is a sanitized image generated from decoded pixels, not the original uploaded binary. Saved-image ZIPs include only eligible images and expire five minutes after they become ready. Unavailable images are skipped. Images can become unavailable at any time.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AvatarFeed, its software and all images are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, accuracy, availability or security. We do not warrant that contributions are legally cleared, safe, suitable, uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for evaluating an image and securing any permissions needed for your intended use.

Limitation of liability and no indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator disclaims liability arising from access to or use of AvatarFeed, contributed images, downloads, removals, interruptions, data loss, security incidents or third-party conduct, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary and punitive damages and lost profits or revenue. Nothing excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

The operator does not agree to defend or indemnify users or third parties. This agreement does not require users to indemnify the operator. No provision promises absolute immunity from liability or overrides mandatory law.

Privacy notice

We use your submitted email to deliver sign-in links and maintain a verified identity. Documented email-provider alias rules may associate equivalent delivery addresses with one identity. We store account status, sessions, contributions, votes, private favorites, role suggestions, agreement acceptance records and administrative/security events needed to operate the service. Acceptance records identify the version and content you accepted and the server time of acceptance.

Account email addresses, favorites, suggestions and acceptance evidence are not public. Published image titles, descriptions, roles and aggregate vote/download counts are public. Reports and contact information are restricted to authorized administrators. Report contact addresses are encrypted in the application database.

SendGrid receives the email address and sign-in message needed for email delivery. Microsoft Azure stores sanitized image bytes privately. Raw quarantine uploads and temporary archives are stored privately on the application server, outside public files and backups of published images. Microsoft Defender scans raw uploads on the Windows host; its cloud protection and sample-handling practices depend on the host security settings. OpenAI receives a sanitized image derivative and its selected role for automated moderation. Those providers process information under their own applicable terms and data practices. We do not send raw uploaded binaries to the vision model and request that API responses are not stored as response objects. This request does not mean that the provider retains no service or abuse-monitoring data.

Essential cookies maintain sessions, pending confirmation, delivery context and passkey verification. A local preference stores your choice of directory card or list view. No advertising or third-party analytics integration is included in this version of the service.

Sanitized images retrieved from Azure are also stored in a private cache on the application server. Each retrieval renews a seven-day cache expiration; expired entries are removed by scheduled cleanup. Removed images become unavailable immediately and their cached copies are queued for deletion. Raw uploads and temporary archives are not stored in this image cache.

Raw quarantine uploads are scheduled for deletion after successful, rejected or terminal processing. Temporary ZIPs expire after five minutes and are scheduled for immediate deletion. Cleanup may retry during a storage or host outage, and expired content remains unavailable. Azure may preserve recoverable copies of deleted sanitized images for seven days. Necessary account, contribution, acceptance and audit records may be retained to operate the service, investigate abuse and meet legal requirements. Ask [email protected] about access, corrections, account closure, retention or privacy concerns. We cannot erase already downloaded copies or records that must lawfully be preserved.

Changes and contact

Published agreement versions are preserved. A material new version requires renewed acceptance for relevant account actions; it does not silently change the rights attached to an earlier upload. The operator may change or discontinue the service, subject to applicable law. Contact [email protected] with questions or reports.
